Have you got the Modem plugged in direct to a USB port on the PC or is it in a USB hub? If in a hub try moving the connection to the PC. Before trying Puta's advice I would suggest you go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, System and click on the Hardware tab. Open Device Manager and if you can see any large yellow ! or ? against a device, delete the device. Then re-install the modem software and switch off your PC. Reboot the PC then connect your Modem. The Windows New Hardware Found wizard should start up and finish the installation.
