Was the new CD used because you have just changed to Broadband? If so I suspect that you are automatically connecting to Broadband as and when you fire up your PC. Try this, switch on your PC, do not try to connect, open up IE and see if it brings up your start page, if it does then you are automatically connected. If you don't want to automatically connect you can alter the settings in IE Tools.
