ADSL & CableNut

Hi, All
I am on Bt Openworld Broadband 512k. I read Puta’s Tutorial on CableNut and so downloaded the programme. I opened the programme for ADSL Win XP but I found it applied to PPPoE. I checked my connection and found that it was ISDN PPPoA. On checking the Control Panel it shows the connection as a dial-up connection. I made a new connection as a Broadband connection no problem, showed as Broadband WAN Miniport PPPoE. I tried to connect to the Internet with this connection, but it kept giving me the following error - 769 the specified destination is not reachable. Does this mean? 1. I am not on ASDL Broadband for which I pay a princely sum each month 2. Is there something wrong with my connection? 3. Will CableNut work with the connection I have? 4 Should I contact Bt Openworld for help? Ha! Ha!
The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on.
