Hi Folks (AOL Broadband IE 6)
I wonder if anyone can explain why I occaisonly lose IE6 it disapears from the desktop (no Icon) and the start/programs I have then done a search that comes up with 2 files a/shortcut to Internet Explorer documents& settings and b/Internet Explorer documents & settings I can not open either of them.
I try to do a reinstall from a cd then get a message that says cannot continue as a later edition is installed, which I believe to relate to the service pack 1. I then try to uninstall/reinstall IE from the Add & Remove then a message says a error as been caused. I then tried to install it from MS updates after several attemps it some times installs. I have found the best way is a System Restore.But why does this happen, by the way its not in the recylce bin either so where does it go? many thanks JP
