Thanks for the reply puta.

I did have an adaptec burner installed but things went wrong well over a year ago.

I'm using windows me and the trouble started (I think) when I updated WMP to version 7. After I had updated, something seemed to either overwrite or delete some of the files the burner needed to work? I kept getting error messages saying it couldnt find certain files and I couldnt find them through searching explorer.

There were also no system restore points so I've been using WMP and realplayer ever since, but havent really got on with either.
