TS-L632H CD/DVD/W Drive Problems

First of all, have not got a clue with this problem. I have Vista, and after re-installing it this problem occured. I can not save files to disk (CD-R or CD-RW)does not even respond when put in, even disk I have saved pictures on.But the drive plays DVD Movies and Software Disks no problem. I have deleted the driver, and re-booted so Vista finds and installs new driver. I have also read previous posts on here regarding deleting Upper and Lower Filters in Regedit, but these 2 files do not show up under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Please can anyone help as pulling my hair out.
