We'd already checked out that possibility. Unfortunately, 'Mobile Broadband' isn't likely to be of much use to us. This is partly due to the geography of our area - it's very hilly! We use Orange on our mobiles and the signal is variable. It goes from non-existent (unless you walk up the hill) to quite good. People round here tend to favour Orange as it has the best cover on the whole. I did a check for our postcode on the Orange site an the only positive thing it said was 'Your phone or dongle will work well outdoors'! Apparently indoors it would probably have 'poor signal quality'. We'd already noticed that with the phone and the outdoor option isn't too good in Wales. It rains a lot here. We would have only 2G coverage, no 3G or 3G+. Our dial-up connection is slow, but very reliable and stable with speeds of 44.0 or 45.2Kbps. Awful I know, but hopefully things will improve before too long. Thanks for the suggestion though.
