3g ipod problems
      Sat May 31 2008 11:45 AM

I'm having severe problems with my ipod, can anyone advise?
I've done the usual reset and uploaded the latest software versions of itunes and ipod software. Using a firewire connection, the ipod on 9/10 occassions fails to be recognised as a drive and doesn't display in itunes - it doesn't display the 'do not discoonnect' message, it only 'charges'. When it does display in itunes and for example I'm synching music between PC & ipod, it 'hangs' and usually the PC crashes. I've run the ipod 'firewire port' and 'HDD checking facilities' (I suspected problems with it's HDD) but these are reported as 'ok'.
So, Iv've a 3g ipod that works perfectly well when not connected to my PC, but I can't connect to 'sync music' - any ideas anyone?
