Ebay account blocked (but fees aren't mine)

I really don't know what to do.
Ebay have blocked my account for alleged non-payment of fees, relating to March this year. However, I have not listed anything on Ebay since late 2006, and trying to get this through to Ebay is like banging my head against a brick wall.
They've asked me to review my account summary, which I can't do as the only part of my account which I can access due to the account being blocked is my messages.
Also, having been given the list of items which I've allegedly listed, and have nearly £20 unpaid fees for, I know that these are nothing to do with me.
Has anybody else had this kind of problem, and how did they resolve it? I know I could just pay and it'll be sorted, but I have a real issue paying for fees that I know aren't mine. And I'm certain that my account hasn't been used fraudulently, as I've never received the customary 'listing confirmed' email when the listings were made (had I received it, I would have questioned it straight away).
I am very concerned, as I have heard stories of Ebay getting debt collectors involved, but trying to get it though to them that these listings were never made by me is proving impossible.
The other thing is I can't actually see the listings, despite them allegdly being less than 90 days old (according to the messages I received from Ebay, they were listed between the 11th and 17 of March.
