Save money on International Phone Calls

I regularly make international calls to a range of countries.
Here's some tips I can share to save you a lot of money.
If you have friends who are going to be staying in a hotel abroad and you want to call them, get them to text you on arrival at their hotel with the hotel's phone number and their room number.
Then go to this page on the excellent moneysavingexpert.com site.
Select the country you are calling from the drop down list.
You are shown a list of numbers and the rates you pay per min.
You just dial the number, then dial your friend's number followed by the hash key.
I would not use any of the services with ## listed after their name, as you pay an extra connection fee.
Don't call their mobile phone, as they will be charged to receive your call. Only call a landline number.
The site also notes:
"Non-BT landlines: Call prices may vary from non-BT landlines, it's always worth checking your bill to see exactly what you're charged before using one of these providers excessively"
