It was my understanding that I have 1 hard drive, partitioned so as to use for the backup / recovery info. Untill last night I did have a C: drive and a D: drive and the cd drive was E: When I plugged in any USB memory stick it became the F: drive
Now my cd is the D:, and my memory stick is the E: ________________________________________________________

Info from crucial.com - same as last time I went to crucial to scan - the scan fails
It basically identifies that I have 2 slots - 1 with 256 in it and and max passible of 2056
During the attempt to scan I get a windows error message:
16 bit MS DOS Subsystem C:\ Windows \ Downloaded Program Files \ conspawn.exe
C:\ Program~1\Symantec\S32EVNT1.Dll An unstable Virtual device driver failed Dll initialization
I think I'll have to open the box, take the RAM out and see what it says on the label
