AVG 8 and Spybot conflict

Just a heads up for anyone new to AVG 8. As with SpywareBlaster , which was discussed elsewhere on the forum , AVG 8 also conflicts with Spybot search and Destroy. After running a scan with AVG to-night it produced a list of warnings regarding ActiveX Compatibility" registry key's. I recognised these same "warnings" from a previous scan when SpywareBlaster was at the root of the problem. As i had unistalled SpywareBlaster it was obvious the problem now lay elsewhere. I left the "warnings" unhealed and started Spybot and all was well. However after "healing" the warnings and emptying the AVG vault , i then found that all Spybot's immuninzation of I.E. , Firefox and the Hosts file , were now in unprotected mode.
The way i see it then is you have three options if you wish to continue using AVG 8 in this situation :
(1) Uninstall Spybot. Doing this means these "warnings" will not be detected on future scans.
(2) Ignore the "warnings" i.e. don't heal or remove them. This means the "warnings" will reappear on future scans. ( must stress ignoring the warnings does not put you at risk as these keys are protected by Spybot ).
(3) Heal and remove these "warnings". This means to continue using Spybot to it's maximum you will have to go back into Spybot's settings and re-immunize to gain full protection of I.E. Firefox and the Hosts file.
Hope this is of some help.
