Re: Wifi problem

A router controls the connection, a network switch\hub share the feed across a network

I use Virgin media as my ISP and take the cable feed from my SET Top Box (which acts as a cable modem which I have no control over), this feeds into old PC fitted with two network cards which has IPCop installed and acts as my Firewall\Router. The firewalled feed comes out of the IPCop box into the 16 port switch which feeds my network. It has been like this for over 7 years and has worked perfectly well. I have only had wireless problem in the last 12 months since my old D-Link AP died and I purchased the Belkin AP.
