Well I have downloaded and installed it now, and it did indeed remove the old version during the installation. One thing I would say though is that the links on the other thread to download, did actually download a file, BUT the file I downloaded came up with a corrupt file message and unable to install.
I therefore did a google search on AVG anti virus and downloaded it from their web site. The site had two links, one from their recommended partner (which resulted in another corrupted download file) and one from their own server which has worked fine.
Not done any scans yet, but I have done all the updates. I will let you know if I have any problems. And in answer to your question Fife Flyer, no I dont use SpywareBlaster but I do use Ad Aware 2007.
