Webuser Forums: DEVOLO DLan Wireless Extender

I have recently bought Devolo DLan Wireless Extender Kit as recommended by Webuser.
problem 1.
I have a BT Home hub..with a good wireless connection to my fujitsu Siemens Amilo M3438G lap top. This also works well with the devolo extended wireless signal except that I cannot get the BT wireless manager to accept any security encryption when editing the Devolo connection profile...so I won't use it.
problem 2
I have a ibm think pad laptop. It picks up both the Devolo wireless signal and the BT Home Hub signal . However despite the Devolo signal being strongest (when operating downstairs) it will not connect to the Devolo signal. It also suffers from the same BT Wireless manager security encryption issue described above.

Can anyone help. I am tired of phoning BT and taking 30 minutes to go through a procedure not related to the problem....I find it very difficult to understand the support technicians...the same applies at Devolo.
