Problem with Firefox
      Tue Apr 01 2008 10:19 AM

I have been using Firefox for a long time without any serious problems. I have one of the options set so that anything I download is put into a folder called D:\Downloads

I have just been trying to download a file called TO.EXE and get the following error message:

"Downloading C:\Docume~1\Admini~1\Locals~1\Temp\1yn4u9gw.exe"
followed by
"C:\Docume~1\Admini~1\Locals~1\Temp\1yn4u9gw.exe could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder"

Can anyone suggest what has gone wrong and how to put it right? I have checked "Tools\Options\Main" in Firefox and the download folder is still D:\Downloads so I don't understand why things are being directed to the C: drive and to a temporary folder, or why the file name has been changed.

This happened after I downloaded a large (600-odd MB) file yesterday. I also updated Firefox to version 2.0.0.13 yesterday but I doubt if the update is the problem.

Can anyone help, please?
