I think the news stories are much easier to read now that the site is set at 1024x768 resolution. Every site on the web should be set to this now.
Looking at the Sports Home page though, I think it has too much white space. Maybe it's not the finished article yet.
I'm sure they will make the pages more modifiable, i.e. football fans being able to populate the page with league tables, fixture lists tailored to their club.
