samsung writemaster cd/dvd re writer problems

Hi

My TSST corp CD/DVDWTS-H552B ReWriter suddenly fails to recognise and blank disks when inserted.
This annoyingly has stopped me writing to disks through Windows normally.

But Nero has no trouble recognising so I can use for Burning etc.

WXP Pro Dualcore AMD

Have tried uninstalling re-writer drive and restarting

Tried various Disk makes inc Verbatim.

Any help apreciated
