I have a cd from the manufacturer of a mass storage device which i run first, before plugging in the device. When the wizard comes up i get the message 'hardware not installed because wizard cannot find the necessary software. I have also gone into the add/remove hardware in the control panel and get the same message. On going into the trouble shooting i get the yellow ? but it still cannot find the drivers. I tried re-booting with the device plugged in - I then get the message 'no bootable partition in table' so i have to switch the pc off and disconnect the device. has anyone any ideas as to what is wrong? its not just the one device it is a few new ones that i am trying to add. lkb
