Before running sfc again, try resetting IE7 settings, i.e. Internet Options > Advanced Tab and click 'Reset' at the bottom.
Run sfc and if you get the windows options that you listed above it’s because the CD has loaded, just close it.
If that doesn’t work, try the sfc again but read this about the CD. The new SP2 CD message is related to the XP Pro message you received earlier, read this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900910
