You're right in saying that WEP is a weak security measure. However, the security that is applied to your wireless connection is controlled by you, not the ISP. It's your choice whether you want to run openly, with WEP or with WPA.

Yes, as long as you configure the Netgear router with your BT Broadband username and password you should be able to connect through it. Should actually save you a bit of money if you do not need the HomeHub. Any more Q's, jsut post back
