Sorry, tried posting this morning, but,guess what!
My IP address changed, please see below:
Present settings are;
IP address: 192.168.2.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gate: 192.168.2.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.2.1
DNS Server: 192.168.2.1
these settings work fine, then for no apparent reason my IP address will change to 169.254.11.128, Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0 but with no gateway or server settings settings and even though I cannot get on line with these settings there seems to be a lot of activity through my modem/router.
My modem/router is NOT secured, I have had an awful job trying to get it to save protection settings (says it is saving, but, obviously isn't). It is a Philips SNA6500.
