WiFi connection problem
      Fri Feb 08 2008 01:25 PM

Hi All,

My iPod Touch will only connect to my wireless network when my laptop is connected (wireless). If I disconnect the laptop from the network the iPod continues to work, but if I disconnect the iPod and then try to re-connect it won't do so. When I reconnect the lap top the iPod connects again. I'm confused!

Belkin F5D9630 router using WPA-PSK, strong signal. Working on Channel 2, laptop set to same by default.

I've tried changing from WPA to WEP to no security at all. I've tried changing channels, both on auto and manual.

It seems the iPod is not picking up an ip address when it doesn't connect; however, looking in the DHCP client list on the router shows it has been allocated one.

Any ideas?

Regards,

RBG.
