video processing - which chip?
      Tue Feb 05 2008 06:28 PM

Hi All, I will soon be buying a new PC. One thing it will be doing is processing lots of video from my camcorder, editing, rendering, burning to disk etc. Can any of you good people tell me which is the best processor for doing this kind of work please? Indeed, IS there a best chip?, or does memory, motherboard, operating system come into the equation? Due to other commitments (life in general!) I'm out-of-touch with the latest developements in the PC world, especially processor speeds etc, can anyone give me some advice please?
Thanks in advance, Tim.
Apologies to mods if this is in wrong section - its been a while....
