While The computer is booting up when it gets to the Windows XP logo it shuts down.I did try starting in safe mode which it went a little farther but did the same thing.I did check the fan which was a little dirty and cleaned it up.It seemed to go a little further but not much.I was thinking this was an over heat problem but not sure how to check or if I'm dealing with a windows problem.This is not my computer so I don't know to much about it except that it is an E-machine.
