20 computers need to be connected to the net, HELP!
      Wed Jan 16 2008 03:13 PM

Hi,
I'll make this short and sweet...
I'm helping a friend sort out his office. He has 20 Dell PC's all with wireless network cards connected to a BT router. He's been having trouble with connection speeds and connection loss and is wanting to start from scratch. He's asked me as I've had a little experience networking small stuff at peoples homes but nothing to this degree. Can anyone give me a little advice as to where I should start? Would investing in a better router do the trick (even though BT say the one he has should work fine) or would it be a good start to just hard wire all the PC's to the router instead of wireless? I know a server would be good but I think he's trying to keep the costs low (hence asking me to do it)!
Any advice or any helpful links to other sites would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
