URGENT, EMAIL HOSTING!!

Hi this is the first time i have posted here, so bear with me. One of friends has bought a domain from Fasthosts for his new company and has asked me to find out ways on how we can obtain a generic email address such as info@somecompany.co.uk. Now, i'm not a very technical person but would like experienced users like yourselves to tell me what i need to think about when obtaining a general email address like the one above. That way i can relay these messages to my friend.
Also, any sites that where i can purchase this cheaply would be very appreciated guys.
