Ethernet connection not streaming movies
      Thu Jan 03 2008 02:38 PM

I have just installed a router so that I can use my laptop at home, whilst the laptop is connected through the router it will stream movies, but when the desktop pc is online through the router media player just freezes on streaming movies.

The desktop pc will stream movies from the old broadband modem, and will surf the internet fine, and also will download movies for playing from the desktop, which leads me to think it must be an media player/ethernet settings problem?

The connection is through and Orange Live Box 2.2Mb connection, OS is windows XP on desktop and Vista on laptop.

Would be grateful for any pointers in the right direction. Thanks!
