Thank you for your continuing help BurrWalnut.
1. I've gone into Event Viewer, but I'm afraid I'm not sure what exactly I should be looking for.
2. I can't seem to access (even under admin) the native cbs.log file. However managed to take a copy, which shows the earlist date and time is 2007-12-21 10:35 (when the previous cbs.log file was archived) , latest date and time is 2007-12-30 09:24
3. No, not yet.
4. No, I wanted to try and find out if these files were the cause of the freezing or not booting up before going down that road.
