Ethernet router - USB modem
      Thu Dec 27 2007 05:07 PM

I recently bought a wireless router made by Netgear. The installation went well until I had to connect the router to the cable modem and i noticed there was no USB port. There is an ethernet port in the back of the modem but it isn't set up to work with ethernet (you see i had the option when setting up the modem to use ethernet or USB and it recomended USB.) I saw some USB to ethernet adaptors(like this one http://www.lanshop.co.uk/productcategorydetail.aspx?categoryid=54961 ) but they seem to be for the PC to receive ethernet cables, not the modem. I was wondering if anyone knows if that would work or had any other ideas.

Thanks
