Looking for website link that has free sofrware for USB stick

Subject probably won't make sense so I'll be a little more descriptive here...
Quite some time ago in Web User magazine (I think), there was a link to a website that allowed you to download free handy common software to keep on a USB memory stick. ie, Browsers (Firefox), AVG anti-virus, Windows Live Messenger and a whole lot more.... and I can't find it anywhere!
Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Many thanks!
