I am one of the thousands who has emigrated to SKY from Virgin. I didn't like the idea of web based email, but with such a big saving, I thought it worth making the switch. However, I was pleased to discover once I was connected to find that I could setup a POP3 account with Google to handle Sky's email.
I must also give credit to the way you do not have to be number 145 in the queue to connect to support - they answer pretty quickly (very important with an 0870 number) BUT, it will probably take umpteen times longer than it should, to be able get get an answer to your query. I find that there is a distinct language problem.
Having a problem sending email, I checked the Network Connection box to see the status of my wireless connection and it says I am 'connected with limited access'! WHY! So I spoke to support who didn't seem to understand what I was talking about - I don't think there was too bad a language problem, her English seemed reasonable. I just couldn't take it anymore, so I just hung up.
I shall try again shortly and hope I get a Scottish laddie (to think I use to complain about the Scottish burr - sorry Jock :-) I never will again)
Glad I've got that of my chest!
