G'day Soundhound, Thanks for the reply. Apologies for the delay. I work funny hours. Being abit of a novice, I don't quite know what i'm mean't to do in respect of your reply. I've gone down many a route within the graphics and display properties all to no avail and I don't understand what your reply is wanting me to do. I can't find anything in the tv manual/menu or the grahics adaptor properties to make setting adjustments like you suggest, if that's what you were implying. The suggested res according to the tv manual is 640 x 480 at 60 htz. As you point out it is 4/3 ratio and not hd ready either I know the pc works ok on standard monitors so do you think it could be my tv is too modern (for a better word) for the Intel(R) 82865G adaptor and should I be upgrading the card. Is it worth looking at on of these. http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel845g/sb/cs-009070.htm According to the local pc shop I have the correct vga cable. There is a '9 pin' port on the card (IOIOI) but i'm not sure what that is and my tv also has svideo. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated Johnny D
