Problem with mouse
      Sun Dec 02 2007 06:02 PM

I am having a problem with getting a mouse to work with my laptop.

I have 3 mice, all 3 work on the desktop which runs XP.

I can only get one mouse made by Trust to work with the laptop, but it will only work in one USB Port, which is on the side. If I plug it into any others, it comes up as unknown device and when I try to install the drivers for the mouse, it will try and then say that windows has encountered a problem while trying to install the drivers.

The other 2 mice, which are Pcline and Technika, will not work at all.

The other USB's work with other devices such as flash drives and I can plug in my Mp3 and phone, no problem, so I'm not convinced it's a problem with the USB slots.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be?

Thanks in advance.
