downloading skype...but error says skypesetup.exe not a valid win32 application ?

i hav downloaded skype on to my mate's computer. download done but when i run the program it says " c\documets & settings\skype.exe is not valid win32 application " ? my mate's OS is win xp (file system FAT32) & i havent even saved the application (skypesetup.exe) to that location (documents & settings) ? i saved it the application in another folder...than whats this error about ?

pls advice ...
