How badly chewed is it? If the power "brick", connector, plug and at least some of the cable is intact it is entirely possible to repair it instead of forking out for a new one. Just need some tools and common sense to do it.

If it's badly damaged or you don't fancy doing DIY on electronics you could try looking on Dell for the model of your computer instead of the power cable. YOu might find the cable falls under its accessories
