Thank you. I have downloaded and installed all the drivers that looked vaguely relevant and re-booted but the display is just the same. Do you have any other suggestions. Is the following information any use? I've copied it from the graphics card bit: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver Report Report Date: 11/21/2007 Report Time[hr:mm:ss]: 22:07:49 Driver Version: 6.14.10.4642 Operating System: Windows XP* Professional, Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600) Default Language: English DirectX* Version: 9.0 Physical Memory: 1013 MB Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB Maximum Graphics Memory: 256 MB Graphics Memory in Use: 11 MB Processor: x86 Processor Speed: 2791 MHZ Vendor ID: 8086 Device ID: 2992 Device Revision: 02

I don't know if it is relevant but the text under the icons on the desktop looks like it has a black shadow behind it whereas the text in programmes an on webpages looks very thin or skinny but still blurry. It's all very frustrating. Angele
