As for the text issue, was this on the internet or just the computer itself?
As for the shared files thing, could you possibly tell me what files these are? Basically it does this because some files are used by multiple programs rather than just one, so if you uninstall something that shares a file, if you remove the file then the other will not be able to function properly.
Usually this is just between applications, it is mostly rare that the files are for something much more important such as the operating system itself or any other permanent component of the PC.
Let me know what these files are and I'll check them out and try to find a source. Do you have any programs left on your PC besides the ones that you had when you bought the PC?
