Hi Gman. Welcome to the forum - you'll find it a pleasant place. Re your bookmarks - there is a Firefox add-on http://tinyurl.com/37d2gx published in the current issue of the magazine (175) which does this job for you by reducing each bookmark on the toolbar to a 'favicon'. Obviously all the info is there when you hover your mouse over it.
