If i open Spybot 1.3 & click on 'search for updates' & i download them, those updates won't be as up to date as updates on version 1.5.!! The same with AVG.

G'day gazmix.

Using Spybot 1.3 you will not even get any updates, it's discontinued.
You need to install v1.4.0.3 - the version I am using is Beta (v1.5).
Old AVG if run might update with a newer version, depending how old the old version is.

To get IE working again you need the XP setup disk or find a DVD/CD with IE 6 or IE 7 and install it.
