Hi, apologies as this is my first post so please be gentle with me and word of caution, I am a novice when it comes to the technical bits!!! I have searched your boards and come up with the same solution to my problem each time, however, this appears to only apply if you have the master disks? I cannot get my volume icon to appear in the taskbar as when I try placing it I get the error message 'windows cannot display the volume control on the taskbar because the volume control program has not been installed. to install it use add/remove programs in control panel' Well it aint in there and the solutions to doing the old sndvol.exe bit dont work as I bought my pc with all already loaded on it. when i go into run cmd it automatically comes up c: and then something about my name and doucments ??? How do I get my sound volume prog back? Its only me being lazy save me going in and resetting sound all the time! Have I lost this programme for good?? Sorry its so long winded!
