Agree that is the best idea
But try these out first
If you can see the triangular AOL icon next to the clock rigt click on itand Click on One click fixes on the list Nust be preinstall
Windowopen with a long list scroll down to the section markek

Rebuild AOL Adapter/Delete ACS Files

Try the second one first
If no joy you can always remake the connection
by scrolling down to

Tis last one is a good starting point before you look at Modem drivers or connections
