Agree that is the best idea
But try these out first
If you can see the triangular AOL icon next to the clock rigt click on itand Click on One click fixes on the list Nust be preinstall
Windowopen with a long list scroll down to the section markek Quote:
Connectivity Redetect Connection Devices This One-Click Fix redetects the device that you use to connect to AOL and the Internet (e.g. a specific modem). This may help repair your AOL connection. Rebuild AOL Adapter/Delete ACS Files This One-Click Fix rebuilds your AOL Adapter and deletes the connectivity databases. If these files are corrupted, you may not be able to connect to AOL.
Try the second one first
If no joy you can always remake the connection by scrolling down to
Quote:
Rebuild Current Connection Location This One-Click Fix helps you connect to AOL. It deletes the current location you are using to connect to AOL and helps you add a new one.
or Quote:
Rebuild AOL Adapter This One-Click Fix rebuilds your AOL Adapter. Your adapter may have been corrupted, and this change may improve your ability to connect to AOL.
Tis last one is a good starting point before you look at Modem drivers or connections
To activate any of these wizare press the tiny "Fix it for me" button
