Many thanks scampydog. All is clear now. I am using the Orange Spam filter and the Windows Mail "Junk email" facility. I get loads of spam, maybe because I've had my email address for about 10 years. I'm reluctant to change it because of the hassle involved.
I started this only because the item in WebUser magazine indicated that I might be able to refine my system, so as to reduce the amount of email
