Hi, I would be really grateful for help. I had to replace my wireless router as it would not power up - Ozenda AR4505GW.
The desktop works fine.
Router IP 192.168.2.1
Desktop DHCP enabled Autoconfig enabled IP address 192.168.2.2 SN Mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.2. DHCP Server 192.168.2.1 DNS Derver 192.168.2.1
Laptop IP address 192.168.2.1 SN mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.2.1 Preferred DNS 192.168.2.2 Wireless is connected but no Internet connection.
The laptop will connect to the Internet when the cable is used to the router.
If the laptop wireless connection is set to 'Obtain IP address automatically' then the wireless will not connect. If I try to repair the wireless connection it gives 'following action cannot be completed - Renewing your IP Address'.
Have tried ipconfig/release & renew and the renew will not complete - 'unable to contact your DHCP server'.
DHCP Client and DNS Client are started. Firewalls are off.
