Help - Firefox not launching

All of a sudden FF won't launch when I click on the icon. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but no success.......it reinstalls fine but just won't launch. (My OS is XP ; I've even tried System Restore (to a date before problem arose) but this has solved the problem either)

Can someone please help ..
