Hi newuser , answer to question 1 : i don't use Active Virus Shield but a quick Google says it "Protects your PC from both known and unknown virus attacks, spyware, Trojan horses and malware" and that it is a comprehensive anti-virus software prog. As running more than one antivirus can cause conflicts , running this alongside AVG is not a good idea. You therefore need to decide which one you wish to keep and remove the other. It may help you to know that AVG , Spybot , IE Privacy Keeper and Super Anti Spyware along work fine together. Question 2....sounds like you need to change Spybot's settings. Open Spybot and on the toolbar click on "mode" and click "choose advanced mode". Now go to the bottom left hand of the screen and click on tools > IE tweaks > if there is a tick beside " lock IE control panel against opening from within IE " , remove it.
Could you let us know which prog is giving you the trojan warnings , what they are , and if possible where they are located .
