I'm not totally sure, but you might have set the hub only to accept new connections when it is put in registering mode, or asked to search for the other laptops. This is the case with mine, anyway. Nothing connects without the key and the hub being set in registering mode.

Thanks for the reply. When you say the hub do you mean the router, and it's that I need to go into to alter the settings, or are you talking about the main PC?
