Selective blocking of outgoing email (wierd?)

The email I have is web-based with register.com. I do not use POP or SMPT with windows or outlook. So its more like a hotmail account except I have my own domain name and pay for extra space (10 GB).
One email particular, of a highly sensitive and important nature, was being stopped from going out of their system without error or notification. We tested this email many times and other ones, and only this one was being selectively blocked from going out. The register.com technical people did not know what it was. They told me they will contact me within 24hours. Their answer 24hours later was " There was a small misconfiguration (in their system) and is fixed now."
When I asked how can a configuration stop certain emails (the sensitive ones) and allow others? The supervisor told me he did not know. and When I asked to speak to the technical people that would know. He said "sorry I can't do that, but your email is now fixed." and he would not pass me to anyone else.
I am not happy being told that it has been fixed without an explanation of what happened, since the misconfiguration was selectively stopping the sensitive email and not others. there was nothing illegal done by me, but the information on this email was highly confidential.
What could have been the problem? Are my emails under threat?
Thanks
