Stepping back with windows
      Tue Aug 21 2007 03:38 PM

I recently had a problem that resulted in a technician re-installing windows XP for me. He installed XP professional, a recent version, and his installation does not have a product key. Hence it is now impossible for updates to be carried out. I have older versions of XP Home, legal versions, with the product key. The main one I have is version 2002 upgrade with service pack 1.

I cannot load this onto my computer as it will not overwrite a more recent version. Is there anyway around this? So that I can become ŽlegalŽand download all the updates through the windows site.

Regards Keith
