Im a SKY broadband user, i think its the UPNP in the router.
I had same problem when i got connected, and kept dropping the connection every 1 to 2 hours.
Very easy to fix. If you follow Maxping's instructions above, and look down the left side of the menu ( blue coloured ) at the very bottom you will see UPNP, click on that and remove the tick from the box where it says TURN UPNP ON.
Click apply, then restart the router by clicking on DIAGNOSTICS on the left panel, and at the bottom of that screen there is a button to REBOOT THE ROUTER.
Wait untill all the lights on the router have come back on, and hopefully your problem should be sorted.
I have a rock steady connection now since doing the same.
